The Visual Arts Alliance is an ongoing project originally funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation to develop strategies for increasing awareness of the visual arts throughout Waterloo Region with emphasis on marketing, fundaising, friendraising and volunteer development. Participating organizations include:

On August 1st, 2008 the VAA launched Get Off On Art, a ground-breaking promotional campaign designed to increase awareness of the visual arts in Waterloo Region.
